Take this tulip
White Tulip to Image Magick
First click onto
Effects, put
5x5 in the parameter box and highlight the
sharpen button, then click the Effects button.
That helps define the lines between the greys and white making it a little easier to paint.
On the paint page I used these settings
FUZZ =
50000
METHOD =
Floodfill
PAINT TYPE =
Color
and for the
paint color I used a combination of greens, yellows, and purple
You can change the
fuzz number to a lower or higher number,5000 worked for me on most of the areas. Leave some white in the flowers or paint a few light colored area so that there`s some nice contrast.
This is the end results from painting

Now go back up to
Effects and change the parameters to
25x25,highlight the
gaussian blur button and click the Effects button.
The end results of that step is this

At this point you`re probably wondering why you took so much time painting these tulips with different colors, well the next step is what brings it all together.
Click onto
Composite and add the original url for the
White Tulip to the
Url box,click
center for the
gravity and choose
Luminize under the compose dropdown menu and then click the composite button.
Now wasn`t it worth taking the time painting your tulip-----pretty isn`t it.
My finished tulip is the one at the top of this page.
Here are a few more that I painted
